Our Homes

Our Nantes home (France)

A thriving community at the heart of Nantes

The Diocese of Nantes owns a former schoolhouse in Nantes city centre. Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport, this property was more than ideal for our residents –  people who have experienced homelessness and young professionals.

The building was falling into total disrepair, but Lazarus saw its potential and signed a long-term lease with the Diocese. In return, Lazarus completely renovated the building.

The Nantes home is now a thriving home to 30 residents and 1 support family.

We built

1 flat for 8 women

1 5-bedroom flat for the support family

1 flat for 9 men

1 flat for 6 men

1 flat for 8 women (rented to Martha and Maria)

1 common room

1 chapel

7 studios

The Lazarus head office

The building in Nantes also houses the office of Lazarus France where a dozen employees work.
